Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to Art. 13, 14 GDPR and Section 25 TDDDG

Privacy at a Glance (Privacy by Design): Our online catalog and interactive ECM8000 curve selector are engineered for strict data minimization. We use zero tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies. Your quotation list and the Web Audio listening test operate 100% locally inside your browser. Personal data is only processed by us when you actively contact us (e.g. via email).

2. Website Provision and Server Log Files

Whenever you visit our website for informational purposes, our web server automatically records technically required access data (server log files):

  • IP address of the requesting device
  • Date and time of the request
  • Name and URL of the requested page or file
  • Referrer URL (website from which access originated)
  • Browser type and operating system used

Purpose and Legal Basis: Temporary processing of this data is technically necessary to deliver the website, product images, and PDF/ZIP calibration reports (served via dr-jordan-design.de and akulap.de), ensure system stability, and defend against malicious attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is never merged with other data sources or used for marketing profiles.

3. Local Browser Storage (LocalStorage) & Cookies

This website uses no tracking or marketing cookies. To provide interactive catalog and quotation features, we exclusively use your browser's local storage (localStorage):

  • Quotation List (my_quote): When you add catalog products or a calibrated ECM8000 microphone to your quotation list, the article ID, title, price, and quantity are stored strictly locally inside your browser. No data is transmitted to our server during this process.
  • Optional Recipient Data Storage (recipient_data): On the quotation page, you can optionally click the "Save" button to store your address details locally in your browser for future convenience. This happens strictly upon your explicit action; the data remains on your device and can be cleared at any time.
  • Display Preferences (Gross/Net): Stores your chosen tax display mode locally in your browser.

Legal Basis: Because this local storage is strictly required to provide the functionality explicitly requested by you (quotation basket / form convenience), the legal basis is Section 25(2) No. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.

4. Interactive ECM8000 Web Audio Listening Test (Auralization)

Our ECM8000 curve selector includes an interactive listening test ("Auralization Engine") powered by the HTML5 Web Audio API. If you load a local audio file (e.g. MP3 or WAV) from your device, it is decoded and filtered 100% locally in your browser's memory. Audio files are never uploaded or transmitted to our servers.

5. Quotation Generator & Contact via Email

On our "Quotation Generator" page, you can configure a non-binding quote, print/save it as a PDF, or submit it to us via email.

  • Local Preview & PDF Print: Completing the form and printing/saving it as a PDF via your browser happens entirely locally on your device.
  • Submission via Email: Personal data (company, contact name, address, email address, VAT ID, and selected items/serial numbers) is only transmitted to us when you actively click "Submit via Email" (which opens your email client) or send an email to sales@dr-jordan-design.de, info@dr-jordan-design.de, or support@dr-jordan-design.de.

Purpose, Legal Basis, and Retention: We process this data to handle pre-contractual inquiries (quotations, technical consultation) and fulfill contracts pursuant to Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data is deleted once your inquiry or contract is completed, subject to statutory commercial and tax retention periods under German law (§ 147 AO, § 257 HGB—typically 6 to 10 years, Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

6. Embedded Videos (YouTube Two-Click Solution) & External Links

Where tutorial videos from YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) are embedded on our pages, we use a privacy-preserving two-click consent overlay combined with YouTube's enhanced privacy mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

Simply visiting a page with an embedded video transfers zero data to YouTube. A connection to YouTube's servers is only established after you actively click to unlock the video, granting consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG.

7. Your Rights as a Data Subject

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR),
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR),
  • Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten", Art. 17 GDPR), subject to statutory retention obligations,
  • Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
  • Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
  • Right to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21 GDPR),
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
