Official APx555 pressure-chamber test report for Behringer ECM8000 SN #0X000GD0001180 (Grade B, IEC 61672-1 Class 2 up to 10 kHz, bass span 0.76 dB).

Acoustic Assessment of this Capsule

The measured low-frequency ripple (31.25 – 250 Hz) is extremely low at 0.76 dB. This unit technically qualifies for high-precision LFE and subwoofer measurements. The characteristic high-frequency peak is exceptionally flat for a 1/4-inch electret capsule, with a peak of only +3.38 dB (@ 13519 Hz). With a measured sensitivity of 11.82 mV/Pa (-38.5 dBV/Pa, Reference: G.R.A.S. 40AE), this microphone provides a very high output level for low-noise measurements with standard preamps.

+50,00 € 📜 Signed Factory Calibration Certificate & Declaration of Conformity (ISO / IEC 61672-1)

The physical APx555 measurement is identical—you additionally receive our personally signed test certificate (PDF + printed original) with documented metrological traceability for your ISO 9001 quality management.

What exactly does the factory calibration certificate include?

Identical Precision Measurement – Formal Documentation: Every ECM8000 undergoes the exact same simultaneous 2-channel measurement. With this upgrade, you receive a formal document personally signed by Dr.-Ing. Frank Jordan including:

Declaration of Conformity: Written confirmation that your unit (serial number) complies with the frequency response tolerances of DIN EN / IEC 61672-1 (Class 1 or Class 2) within the specified band.
Proof of Traceability (ISO 9001): Complete documentation of our reference chain traceable to national standards (PTB / DAkkS) using Audio Precision APx555, G.R.A.S. 40AE Class 1, and B&K 4231.
Transparent Note on Accreditation: We are a specialized R&D and acoustic measurement laboratory, not an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited calibration body. However, thanks to our €50,000+ test bench (APx555 with -150 dB THD+N and simultaneous 2-channel IEC 61094-5 pressure chamber) and decades of DSP engineering expertise, our actual measurement precision and SNR surpass many accredited testing labs.
