Behringer ECM8000 – Individually Calibrated Measurement Microphones (IEC 61672-1)
Select your exact Behringer ECM8000 by serial number based on its real Audio Precision APx555 & Spectra SQ-4.2 pressure-chamber curve—including its individual .cal calibration file for REW, Akulap, and WinAudioMLS.
Did you know?
KalibrierungWhy is individual calibration necessary? Mass-produced measurement microphones exhibit significant serial variance. The characteristic high-frequency peak might be +2 dB on one unit, but +7 dB on the next. Without knowing the exact curve, room equalization is just guesswork.
Tip: Select a lower frequency limit (e.g. 10 kHz), uncheck "In Stock Only", or switch Grade/IEC to "All".

Batch Variance Across 261 Measured Capsules
Our lab data proves: Mass-market electret capsules vary significantly at high frequencies and by over 4.5 dB in 1 kHz sensitivity. Our simultaneous 2-channel calibration gives you exact correction data instead of guesswork.
We measure up to 20 kHz. Up to 12 kHz, the homogeneous pressure field inside the Spectra SQ-4.2 yields highly reproducible results. Above 12 kHz, short wavelengths and slight head-geometry asymmetries limit chamber symmetry—which is why we transparently mark the >12 kHz range.
How we calibrate each individual ECM8000 simultaneously
No guesswork, no sequential swapping: Every capsule is calibrated simultaneously inside our symmetric Spectra SQ-4.2 pressure chamber against a traceable €50,000+ Class-1 reference chain. Click components for technical details.
