USB measurement Microphone for Akulap

This system was specifically developed for seamless measurement applications with Akulap. It solves exactly the problems that cost time and nerves in everyday practical use with standard USB microphones – without requiring any technical expertise. 1. Built-in Akulap Dongle: One cable, ready to go The license key for the Akulap software is integrated directly into the microphone and is automatically recognized by the software. You no longer need an additional USB dongle. This saves a USB port on your laptop and ensures that you will never forget the license key when working on-site. 2. Factory-optimized tuning (True Plug & Play) Standard commercial USB microphones are often factory-preset to incorrect gain levels, which quickly leads to distorted or erroneous measurements. As a standard user, you have no way to correct these internal hardware parameters. We have solved this problem: Before shipping, each microphone is optimally programmed for acoustic measurements directly at the hardware level using a special internal tool. You don't have to adjust or tweak anything – simply plug it in and you immediately have the correct measurement range for reliable results. The calibration is stored directly in Akulap. 3. Selected Precision Capsule This microphone is equipped with a specially tailored measurement capsule. These capsules are strictly selected by us and meet accuracy Class 2 (DIN 61672-1). The low self-noise of 19 dB(A) is extremely important for precise measurements at low volumes. Thanks to the standardized 1/2-inch format (industry standard 60UNS thread), standard sound level calibrators fit directly onto the microphone. As your requirements grow, the capsule can later be easily upgraded to a DIN 61672 Class 1 capsule. Easy Handling You can connect this USB measurement microphone directly to your computer or smartphone via USB. No sound card or additional power supply is required. Simply plug in the microphone and start the measurement. Note for extremely high sound levels: If you need to measure extremely high sound levels (above 130-140 dB), we recommend using our modular 1/2" USB microphone ATD5T. Its electronics are specially designed for extreme volumes and offer significantly more headroom by processing stronger signals without distortion. When using it, please only observe the maximum physical load limit of the microphone capsule attached.
