Adaptor MIniDSP UMIk-1 to 1" for calibrator
The UMIK-1 from MiniDSP is a widely used and inexpensive USB measurement microphone with a 1/4" capsule in an "almost" 1/2" housing.
Unfortunately, the UMIK-1 does not fit into common calibrators with 1/2" diameter (13.2mm). At 12mm diameter, the UMIK-1 is clearly too thin.
The calibrator pressure chamber is not sufficiently sealed. Incorrect measurements occur.
This adapter fits to common calibrators with 1" connection. e.g. Center 326, B&K4231, BK4230 etc.
This adapter is not suitable for calibrators with a pure 1/2" connection.
The big brother of the UMIK-1, the UMIK-2, does not require an adapter.
